SATABlade features individual drive independence within a unique 1U high physical architecture that allows easy access to eight hot swappable SATA drives. SATABlade delivers stunning performance for all storage requirements and can be easily optimized to meet either performance or capacity requirements and supports up to 3.2 TB per 1U rack.

SATABlade’s unique wind tunnel design forces cooling air to be drawn over and under each disk drive providing the maximum in thermal protection.

Rather that placing multiple disk drives on a single card or sled, Nexsan engineers have utilized individual drive carriers to provide flexibility in configuration and drive replacement options. This approach to individual drive isolation provides the ultimate protection in reducing Accumulative Rotational Vibration transfer. AutoMAID™

SATABeast employs Nexsan's revolutionary AutoMAID™ energy saving technology. AutoMAID transparently places SATABeast disk drives in an idle state reducing power consumption and operational costs. AutoMAID delivers the cost-saving benefits of MAID (Massive Array of Idle Disks) without the limitations of slow access times and special host software. Nexsan's AutoMAID is granular to an individual drive or RAID set and enables users to determine the level of access speed and energy savings desired. AutoMAID is the first MAID architecture that supports VTL (Virtual Tape Libraries), full file format D2D and standard RAID implementations

Configuration And Management
NexScan ä is Nexsan's embedded web-enabled Graphical User Interface (GUI). The platform independence of the NexScan allows you to manage your system from any standard Internet browser or from any host computer either directly connected or via a LAN or WAN with no software or patches required. You also have the option of accessing the SATAblade via the RS-232 serial port or interface to an ANSI terminal or emulator.

Tele-Guard Phone Home
 Tele-Guard™ is Nexsan Technologies' phone home feature incorporated within the InfiniSAN line of storage solutions. Utilizing NexScan™, the WEB enabled GUI, you can access your system from any standard internet browser. In addition, NexScan is platform independent and can be accessed directly from a host computer or over a LAN or WAN. No software patches required. NexScan uses standard html, eliminating any need for special client software. Tele-Guard monitors all system parameters and you can select either single or multiple user alerts to be sent via "Plain English" e-mails, Internet based SMS notification, or Tele-Guard's pager support.
